Role Summary

The Security Consultant provides consulting services, implementation, Support and presales leadership, working closely with the sales team to grow demand for large opportunities. The individual is required to have subject matter expertise with experience in technical sales and positioning the value to our clients. The candidate for this role must be confident in front of customers, and able to explain business and technical concepts, clearly and concisely to both technical and C-suite level clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical escalation point for Presales, Implementation and Support services 
  • Drive high-level Presales engagement by working closely with the Sales team
  • Attends and completes in-person, on-demand, and online enablement for Sales and/or Presales as needed.
  • Meet with key clients before product delivery and help establish and clarify their specific business needs and technical requirements
  • Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales representatives and customers through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Define and present focused product demonstrations that illustrate how Infodata’s solutions and services address the critical business issues that prospective clients face.
  • Provides primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
  • Accurately communicate all technical specifications to potential customers
  • Define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Ensure customer questions and concerns regarding Infodata’s solutions are addressed and help them make the most informed buying decision possible.
  • Accurately communicate all technical specifications to potential customers
  • Ensure delivery of effective Proof of Concept (POC) to prospective customers
  • Serve as technical lead for complex and strategic projects ensuring projects meet specific client requirements
  • Play a key role in uncovering opportunities to provide additional solutions within existing major accounts.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the company’s product lines
  • Maintain the highest level of vendor certifications and expertise in the areas of focus

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or another similar field
  • 5+ years of Mid-Market/Enterprise software selling experience.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for technical quality and client service excellence
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels
  • Interest in IT trends and ability to stay up to date on emerging technologies
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to break down technical jargon into understandable terms
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills
  • Domain expertise in Customer Experience (CX) covering leading practices in sales, support or other customer engagement areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple roles.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade customer management or customer experience solutions is a plus.
  • Experience mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions.
  • Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts.
  • Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solutions and influencing new product development.
  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Fixed Pay
  • Variable Pay

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve annual individual new business revenue target – $500,000
  • Maintain annuity business portfolio. Zero loss in value of annuity business
  • Complete the assigned number of pre-sales vendor accreditation requirements
  • Achieve defined partnership-level targets in Tier-1 OEMs
  • Relationship Management with OEMs and Distributors
  • 80% of POCs and demos should lead to an invitation to negotiate
